The Pengalantaka Eka Sungsang Ka Paing System and a Diagram for Determining Purnama and Tilem in the Balinese Calendar

Balinese Hindus have various holidays, one of which is Nyepi. Nyepi falls on the tilem Kesanga / new moon in the ninth month. Balinese people often use a Balinese calendar as a reminder to find out when the the tilem Kesanga falls. The Balinese calendar also discusses how the Balinese people determine the phase of the moon that will be used for religious ceremonies (the Pengalantaka system). At the moment, the speaker will talk about Nyepi as one of the Hindu holidays, the Balinese calendar, and the pengalantaka system.
